New York Comic Con: Amazing Freebies and Golden Tickets For Almost Everyone!
Plus: Trailing Sheep. So Much Fun It's Hard To Believe It's Legal.
New York.
It’s been a year since I’ve been back; that’s the longest period I’ve gone without the savory reflux-inducing tang of dirt-water dogs or the subway’s ambrosial mix of urine and body order. There’s no place like it on earth.
A lot has happened in that year. I’ve taken up meditation, announced my new company, Amazing Comics, and as of this writing, my beloved Mets are on their way to the National League Championship Series.1 While I miss NYC, I don’t miss it as much as you’d think. With events like this, I’ve got everything I need.
Life is different here in Idaho, and I love every bit of it. But much to the dolor of these three, I’m heading back home for a few days.2
New York Comicon 2024:
If you're coming to the show, you better stop by and at least say hello. I’ll be there all four days!

It’s Raining Freebies and Golden Tickets!
At this year’s San Diego Comi-Con, we ran completely out of our FREE Amazing Comics Disciple: Quarto No. 1 preview book, so we printed up a new exclusive version with a color cover for NYCC.
It’s FREE and will only be available at my 12:30-1:30 PM Mad Cave Studios signing as well as…
Joe Quesada’s Amazing Q&A, Saturday- 10:30-11:30 AM Room 408
Anyone attending the panel will receive a free copy of Disciple: Quarto No. 1 with an Amazing Comics Golden Ticket, which you can redeem at my Mad Cave signing for some exclusive Amazing Comics swag.
As a bonus, the two best questions asked at the panel will walk away with an extremely rare Amazing Comics Challenge Coin.3
Wait, There’s More!
If you’re interested in commissions, click the tab below to speak to my agent, Kwan Chang.
And, if you want to be one of the sharpest-looking attendees at NYCC, we’ll have a limited assortment of Amazing Comics swag for sale at booth L1.
Up Next!
Later this week, I’ll need your shoulder to cry on because I’m going to vent about one of my biggest pet peeves in the comics industry.
Seriously, it’s going to get ugly.
Thanks for reading.
You’re Amazing!
JQ
After years of ineptitude, I find myself in a strange emotional place rooting for a Mets team and organization that seems to know what they’re doing. Beating the Phillies was everything. Anything beyond that is gravy.
The cat won’t even know I’m gone.
I decide which two. Yeah, it’s subjective, but it’s my panel.
Hi Mr. Q, some constructive feedback for you. I was super excited to go to your signing on Friday to get my favorite XO #0 cover signed. However, you were 20 minutes late and when you signed my cover, you never acknowledged me as you were busy talking to someone else behind the booth. Not a very good use of my $30 or my XO comic. Please be more cognizant of your fans in the future.
Mr. Q, can you post some of the preview art from Disciple after NYCC? Thank you!
