It's Goin' Down At Planet Comicon!
It All Started Simply Enough…
I was boarding my flight to Kansas City and looking forward to my first trip to Planet Comicon when Marvel editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski texted me this photo and said, “See you soon.”
I found my seat, and I’m pretty sure I replied with something insulting. Then the rest of the conversation went something like this.
CB: “What?”
Me: “You heard me!”
CB: “I don’t understand. I was just looking forward to hanging in KC.”
Me: “Oh yeah, say that to my face.”
CB: “I still have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Me: “Oh, so you’re a tough guy.”
CB: “Are you off your meds?”
Me: “Challenge accepted!”
CB: “What challenge?!?”
Me: “Meet me at my Joe Q’s Amazing Q+A Panel on Saturday, from 1:30-2:20 PM, in Room 2505, and we’ll settle it there.
CB: At your panel? In public?
Me: Yeah, come on up and hang with me. We can talk about being editor-in-chiefs, Marvel, Amazing, Marvel Knights: The World To Come, Disciple, and comics in general. It’ll be fun!
CB: Cool! Count me in!
And that’s how it began, so make sure to be there to see how it ends.

No surprise: Dan Panosian went back for an entire second meal.
Big surprise: How long Ben Defeo’s hair has gotten. In his defense, he wears a hat to cover that rat’s nest.

It began at Megacon Orlando, and the tradition continues this weekend in Kansas City.
