Comic-Con Chaos: It's a Dog Eat Dog World
My own little slice of San Diego and where to find me and when
As expected, things are getting nutty around here just before San Diego Comic-Con. To add to the excitement this year, mere hours before prepping and packing, this little attack beast decided to pick a fight with a much larger dog. While it’s hard to say who won (she did if you ask her), she managed to lose a tooth and is currently at the vet. The last time this happened (yes, there were others), she not only lost a tooth, but the vet said she had six more teeth that had to be pulled because of decay. She’s part Pug; it’s a breed thing. They’re prone to dental issues due to their unique jaw structure.
When
While I wait on Maya’s prognosis, here’s my signing schedule for the con. If anything changes, I’ll update it in a future newsletter. But for now, here it is.
Where
If you’ve never been to SDCC, it’s the definition of sensory overload, and finding who or what you’re looking for can be daunting. So, if you happen to be looking for moi, you can find me right here, on the main floor in booth 4712 at the times above.
As always, I’ll be signing, chatting, and drawing the occasional remark, so stop by and say hello. This San Diego will be extra fun because, after years of just hanging, watching, and buying way too much stuff, my daughter Carlie will be working the booth and helping out with signings. Let’s see if she can do as good a job keeping up with the crowd as her mom. If you see her, say hello! And, if you catch her loafing around, tell her to get back to work.
What: The Things We Do For Love
Because I love my agent, Kwan, this last part is for him. He’ll have a handful of hard-to-find books at his booth this year. Quantities are limited, so stop by early to get your copy. Prices (UGH! Tacky!) are listed below.
That’s it for now. More updates soon on Maya and the goings-on at the convention. I have a feeling it will be a wild one this year.
You’re Amazing,
JQ
PS: Thanks to everyone who suggested what to do with my free time this year in San Diego. I think I’ve managed to fill up my dance card.
Slap the San Andreas fault for me!
I was just wondering if you'd have that hero trade variant for purchase and to be signed, perfect timing! I really do not feel like digging out back issues right now, so thank you Joe lol
