A Fantastic Marvel Fanfare Panel and a Rough Night at the Eisners!
Missives From San Diego Comic-Con Day (I lost count).
Nothing like Sending This Out at The Last Minute
My first Drawing The Line Somewhere panel starts at 1:45 pm PT in room 6DE.
I’ll be signing from 3:15-4:15 pm PT in signing area AA10.
Hope to see you there.
Marvel Fanfare
I think this Tweet and photo says it all. Such a fun panel yesterday. A big thank you to C.B., Marvel, John Romita, Jr., and especially all of you who stopped by to make it beyond memorable.
I also want to say a big hello to all my new subscribers who signed up right there at the panel. Welcome to the family, and I hope you enjoy the newsletter. Just so you know, if you click on the email you just receive (or here), it will take you to my Substack page that archives previous installments.
The Eisners, UGH!
I had a fantastic time at the Eisners, ran into a ton of old friends, made some new ones, and enjoyed the show and presenters, except…
My arch nemesis, Chip Zdarsky, won.
The rage and injustice I felt was palpable. I almost “Kanye” rushed the stage but decided to go for a second serving of the chicken and pasta salad instead. It was really delicious.
A BIG congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to Fae and SDCC for being such wonderful hosts.
Gotta run, or I’m going to be late.
Thanks for reading.
You’re Amazing,
JQ
If I’d remembered to write a speech I would have thanked you!!!!
Is Chip everyone’s nemesis? I thought Canadians were supposed be polite and well liked?
